We collect the minimum data necessary to provide our service: • Account information: Email address, name, and password hash when you create an account. • Video metadata: File names, sizes, encoding status, and playback analytics. • Usage data: API call logs, bandwidth consumption, and feature usage for billing and service improvement. • Device information: Browser type, operating system, and IP address for security and analytics purposes. We do not collect or store the actual video content beyond what's necessary for encoding and delivery.

Your data is used exclusively to: • Provide and maintain the VidEncrypt service • Process billing and manage your subscription • Send service-related notifications (outages, security alerts, billing) • Improve platform performance and reliability • Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security threats We never sell your data to third parties. We never use your data for advertising.

All data is stored on Cloudflare's global infrastructure with encryption at rest (AES-256) and in transit (TLS 1.3). Video content is stored in Cloudflare R2 with private bucket policies. Database backups are encrypted and retained for 30 days. Access to production systems is restricted to authorized personnel with multi-factor authentication.

We use PostHog for product analytics. PostHog is self-hosted on our infrastructure — no data goes to third-party analytics providers. • Essential cookies: Session management and authentication (required) • Analytics cookies: Anonymous usage patterns via PostHog (can be opted out) We do not use advertising cookies or trackers.
