1. Acceptance of terms
By accessing or using VidEncrypt ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
These terms apply to all users, including free and paid account holders.
2. Account responsibilities
You are responsible for:
• Maintaining the confidentiality of your API keys and account credentials
• All activity that occurs under your account
• Providing accurate billing and contact information
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized access
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
3. Acceptable use policy
You may not use VidEncrypt to:
• Host, distribute, or stream illegal content
• Distribute copyrighted content without authorization
• Attempt to circumvent security measures or access controls
• Use the Service for any form of harassment or abuse
• Resell the Service without written authorization
• Generate excessive load intended to degrade the Service
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate this policy without prior notice.
4. Payment and refunds
• Paid plans are billed monthly or annually in advance
• All fees are in USD
• We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee on first-time paid subscriptions
• Overages beyond plan limits are billed at published per-unit rates
• Failed payments may result in service degradation after a 7-day grace period
• You can cancel at any time — service continues until the end of the billing period
Refund Policy
Payments for VidEncrypt are processed by Paddle.com, our authorised reseller and Merchant of Record. All refund requests are handled by Paddle in accordance with their refund policy.
If you are a consumer, you have the right to cancel your purchase within 14 days of the transaction date without giving any reason (the "cooling-off period"). To exercise this right, contact us at contact@videncrypt.com before the 14-day period expires.
For subscription purchases, the right to cancel applies to the initial subscription only and not upon each automatic renewal. There are no refunds on unused subscription periods outside of the 14-day cancellation window.

5. Service availability / SLA
• Free and Pro plans: We target 99.5% uptime but make no guarantees
• Business plan: 99.9% uptime SLA with credits for downtime exceeding this threshold
• Planned maintenance windows are announced 48 hours in advance
• We are not liable for downtime caused by factors beyond our control (force majeure)
6. Intellectual property
• You retain all rights to content you upload to VidEncrypt
• We claim no ownership over your videos or metadata
• By uploading content, you grant us a limited license to encode, store, and deliver your content as part of the Service
• The VidEncrypt brand, logo, and platform code are our intellectual property
7. Termination
• You may terminate your account at any time through account settings
• We may terminate or suspend your account for Terms violations
• Upon termination, your data will be deleted within 30 days
• We will make reasonable efforts to allow you to export your data before deletion
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
• VidEncrypt is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind
• Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid in the 12 months preceding the claim
• We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• We are not responsible for content uploaded by users
